“Sam! Just leave me alone okay!” you ran through the bunker almost pushing Cas over as you headed for your room. “Y/N?!” you heard Dean’s worried voice behind you but you didn’t stop. You couldn’t.

“What the hell happened?” Dean’s eyes found his brother as he entered the library, “he had already been admitted. They wouldn’t let her see him. Not until tomorrow at the earliest.”

“Son of a bitch!!” Dean was down the hallway before Sam could do anything to stop him. He didn’t bother knocking on your door he just let himself in. The sight that met him almost broke his heart. You were lying face down on the bed with your face hidden in your pillows, “go away Sam!” you sobbed as you heard him.

Dean smiled sadly as he walked across the room and sat down on the edge of your bed, “not Sam sweetheart,” he spoke as softly as he could and you looked up between the pillows. Your eyes were puffy and red and tears were streaming down your face, “they wouldn’t let me see him Dean!”

“I know sweetheart!” Dean wrapped his arms around you pulling you up and almost onto his lap in a tight embrace, “I know,” he whispered feeling his heart break along with yours as you sobbed against his neck. He let you cry for a while before he spoke, “do you want us to break him out or you in?” he smiled as he felt you beginning to laugh against him but became serious as your eyes found his, “you know I will. Just say the word Y/N.”

You silently shook your head, “no it just sucks! I can kill a freaking werewolf and exorcise a damn demon but I can’t help my own brother!” Dean’s heart fell. He knew the feeling and it wasn’t a feeling he would ever wish upon anyone let alone you.

“You are helping him,” both of your eyes flew over to the other side of the bed where Sam was sitting down. Neither of you had heard him come in. He smiled at you as you both send him a confused look, “the nurses said they would tell him you stopped by and you will be there tomorrow.” Sam tried but no use, “how is that helping? That is not a cure!” you spat at him and Dean gave you a gently squeeze partly to let you know he was there and partly to prevent you from flying across the room and knocking out his little brother.

Sam didn’t give up so easy he just smiled at you, “no it is no cure, but knowing you are there that helps. Take it from someone that knows,” Sam’s eyes flickered and found Dean’s surprised gaze. Sam smiled at him before looking back to you who no longer looked like you were about to strangle him, “Dean was my only lifeline for a long time. He didn’t hold a cure. Heck I didn’t think there was one but knowing he was there. That helped.”

Dean sent his brother a quick nod as he felt you beginning to relax in his arms, “so will you take me to the hospital again tomorrow,” you asked drying your eyes with the back of your hand still not releasing your hold on Dean’s arm with the other.

Sam nodded and smiled at you, “off course” and your eyes found Dean’s, “will you come too Dean?” Dean’s heart swelled as you asked him. He couldn’t take away the pain you were feeling and he couldn’t cure your brother but he could drive you to the hospital, “whatever you need sweetheart,” he placed a kiss on your temple and hugged you closer just before a giant boom sounded from the other end of the bunker.

Sam flew on his feet along with Dean, you still in his arms. It took him a few seconds before he realized he was still holding onto you and let go, “what the hell was that?” Dean’s eyes found his brother’s you looked just as confused as he was. The three of you pulled your guns at the same time and ran across the bunker letting Dean take the lead.

As you reached the kitchen you all stopped and lowered your guns. Baffled by the sight that meet you. There was dough and flower everywhere. One of the shelves were crocket and the condiments were now on the floor. The oven was open and Cas stood in the middle of the room with a lighter in his hand and shook on his face. His trench coat looked more black than cream colored but he didn’t say a word he just stared back at the three of you.

Dean’s eyes wandered the room taking in the mess before they landed on the angel once more, “What the hell Cas?” Cas nervously shifted on his feet, “the oven it… will I tried to turn it on,” Sam was the first one to come to his senses so he walked across the room and took the lighter from Cas, “how long did you hold in the bottom dude?!”

“Five minutes just like you…” Cas began but stopped when he saw the horror on Sam’s face, “I said seconds man! Not minutes!”

“Would the two of you mind explaining what is going on here?” Dean growled impatiently as he stared as his friend and brother trying his best to ignore the mess in the kitchen he had just finished cleaning yesterday.

“Well while you talked to Y/N I wanted to bake her a pie. It always seems to help your mood…” Cas began to explain but his eyes shot down when he saw the anger building in Dean, “it doesn’t help my mood when you blow up my damn kitchen man!” Dean twirled around with a surprised look on his face when he heard you start laughing. He watched you as you bend over leaning against the wall trying to not lose your balance as you laughed, “so this is funny to you?” Dean tried his best not to show his relief but he gave up on trying not to smile when your eyes found his, beaming, “yes!”

“So I helped?” you looked over at Cas who still stood in the middle of the room but his expression had changed to a more hopeful one rather than regretful. You walked across the room and pressed a kiss against the angel’s cheek, “yes you did. You reminded me I am not alone.” You turned to the brothers behind you, “you all did. Thank you.”

“So where is our kiss then?” Sam teased and winked at you before ducking just barely avoiding the milk that crashed against the wall over his head. He looked at you with surprise but then you both started laughing. Sam quickly picked up a bag of open flower, “you are so going to regret this” he promised as he started walking towards you. You hit behind Cas just as Sam tossed the flower at you and a surprised yelp sounded from the angel. You began laughing, “sorry Cas but I guess that means you are no my team now!”

“Come on guys! Really?!” Dean held out his hands before letting them fall to his sides with a defeated look on his face, “come on Dean,” you laughed ducking as Sam tossed more flower at you before Cas could get him with the pot of water he was filling, “I’ll help you clean later it is already a mess.” Dean got distracted when Sam tripped backwards knocking down all the pans as he tried to escape Cas and the water he had flung at him, but before Dean could yell at them to be carefull he felt a half cooked apple hit the bag of his head and another got him just between the eyes as he turned around to face you, “don’t be such a kill joy Winchester,” you laughed and squealed turning around trying to escape him as he flung himself at you grapping the sugar as he went, “you are so going to regret that sweetheart,” he promised with a cheeky grin plastered across his face.
